Advocating for Derek Tran
A fundraising event was held on
March 10 to support the re-election
of Derek Tran to the U.S. Congress. A
Democrat, he represents District 45.
At Golden West College in
Huntington Beach, Drs. Caitlyn
Luong and Micah Hata coordinated
the event, which was held in a
spacious meeting room in the Sciences
-Engineering building. Sponsors of

Congressmember Derek Tran spoke
eloquently about his journey as a
Vietnamese immigrant in the States,
and his will to pay back this second
country, which has given his family
so many great opportunities for
education and achievement. He
is impassioned in his defense of
pharmacy issues, as his wife, present
at the meeting, is a pharmacist
managing the family’s independent
pharmacy.
